Outdoorsman Review:

I own two of the previous models of the Quantum Energy PT along with other manufacturers reels. I was turned on to these by Tommy Biffle and the Dollahon PR team over at Gene Larew Lures in Tulsa Oklahoma. I was in need of another reel and decided to purchase the newest model of the Energy PT. I could not have been more surprised. I did not think a reel could get smoother or easier to cast than the previous model. WOW! Smooth casting, smooth reeling, so easy to tune and you can forget about backlashes with this reel. Even my father who is notorious for backlashing every third cast was amazed that he could actually take a full cast!!

While the previous model really had no downside, the housing was a bit bulky and too high profile. It would tend to cramp my left hand after a day of fishing. This one is perfect. Not too low and not too high. Just like the baby bears porage…just right! Love this reel and anyone purchasing one will love it too. While not cheap, your first day on the water with it you would think you paid twice what you did!
