3Ameristep 3-D Spur Blind
By Van Taylor
The blind work well and is easy to set-up. Because it rolls up only from one direction, to allow the velcro wraps to work, it takes a little more time to roll-up and un-roll. Sufficient distance between you and the blind needs to be allowed, if you're sitting on the ground, because the blind is pretty tall and can be too tall to see or shoot over. The only serious complaint I have about the blind is that its 4 staking rods can easily slide out of their sleeves, leaving you trying to find them on the ground and/or having to re-insert them or push them up along the length of the sleeves.

I had another compact, roll-up blind that came with 6 staking rods and had several crimped metal clamps at the top, middle and bottom of its sleeves. They not only kept the rods from sliding out, but they also made the blind more adjustable. That blind was better designed, and, because it was a little bigger than this one, you could almost "wrap it around" your set-up, with much better concealment. I bought this blind to replace that one, after I lost it in the woods. I'm still looking for it, and I hope I find it, but, if I don't, I'll probably try to "tune-up" this blind to make it better for next season.

5Compact, fast setup

Great for "running & gunning" for turkey or archery. Small enough to fit in a light pack, sets up in just a few minutes. I have got several turkeys while out & about in the afternoon trying to find roaming gobblers. Quick enough when you get an answer to set up the decoy, pop up the blind, & get ready. I even use it rifle hunting for a quick setup in sparse cover. It does need some soil to anchor in, does not work well on rocky ground, but I would not expect any portable blind to do that.

Purchased this blind for my husband for turkey hunting. He uses it with his turkey lounge chair. Height is okay that but he says it would be better if it were a few inches higher. It folds up nice and is light and easy to transport. It is quick to set up and take down. Length does the job but would work better if it were a little longer. We ordered one for his brother too!
