The General Electric M61A1 Vulcan is a 6-barrel 20mm cannon of the gatling-type. It fires standard M50 ammunition at 6,000 rounds per minute and is integral part of the armament of modern fighters such as the F-15, F-18 and of course the F-16. Our Vulcan is also formidable with a powerful strength of construction. There is nothing weak about the Vulcan. Take for instance our patented Arc-Lock. Or, the full steel liners encased in glass reinforced Zytel handles. The blade is a full .125" thick with spear point shape and includes our new kick deployment of the blade. Press on the back of the blade and the knife comes out fast. Reversible clip, Arc-Lock, and double thumb studs make for complete ambidextrous use.

this knife is spectacular

i purchased this knife to replace an old knife that no longer holds an edge. before purchasing, i researched just about every name brand manufacturer i could find. reviews of spring assist knives, but too many people said the spring assist mechanism breaks. i was also not that impressed by stories of the knives opening all by themselves in your pocket. really didn't like the idea of sticking my hand in my pocket and belng sliced and diced by a three and a half inch razor sharp blade.
even without the spring assist, the blade can be realiably and easily deployed with a simple flick. once the ARC lock engages after the blade is open, it is going to stay open no matter what. no safety is required on this knife, and it realistically cannot open on its own. the clip holds the closed knife very nicely in your pocket. i use this for EDC. it's just the right size, open or closed, and doesn't get in the way of anything else in my pocket.
i originally considered the Vulcan Mini, but ultimately decided on the full size Vulcan. the handle of the Mini was about a half inch too short, so my pinky was hanging off the end of the handle. the full size Vulcan fits perfectly, so my thumb and all four fingers are securely on the handle.

Very good quality knife

A little too large for daily use, but an outstanding quality knife. Smooth, solid. A great buy. Just keep in mind the size and make sure it fills your needs. To use as a daily pocket knife you may want to look at something smaller.
